Seasonal Programs

Throughout the year, ECHO hosts special programs to support families during key moments that matter—back-to-school season, the holidays, and beyond.

Holiday Meal Program

Help make the holidays brighter for local families in need! ECHO’s Holiday Meal Program provides groceries or gift cards so more than 350 families can enjoy a festive holiday meal in November or December. Generous donors are matched directly with families, creating a personal and meaningful way to share the holiday spirit.

There are two ways to provide a Holiday Meal

Send a Food Store Gift Card

  • Contact ECHO for family contact information and size.

  • Find out which food store is most accessible for them.

  • Purchase gift cards valued at $65 for a family of four, plus $10 for each additional member (excluding infants).

  • Mail the card so it arrives at least 10 days before the holiday, giving families time to shop and prepare their special meal.

Deliver Groceries

  • Contact ECHO to be matched with a family.

  • You’ll receive family details and, if you wish, a suggested shopping list.

  • Contact the family to arrange a convenient delivery time.

  • Shop for their holiday groceries and deliver them at least one week before the holiday.

Together, we can make the season warmer and more joyful for our neighbors in need.

Holiday Shop

It is that time of year again to prepare for ECHO’s Holiday Gift Shop! ECHO collects new toys for children aged 0 to 15 and displays them in a cheerfully decorated, store-like setting.  ECHO clients who participate in this program come in by appointment to choose appropriate gifts for their children.

Donors can help with this happy program by donating new children's toys or teen gifts (not gift-wrapped, please) no later than FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5th.  Donations can be delivered to our donation door (door #6) weekdays between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, or Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Below is a list of popular items we hope to make available for the children.

School Supplies

Each summer, ECHO collects new backpacks and school supplies to prepare students for a strong start to the school year. Volunteers fill each backpack with grade-appropriate items for distribution in late summer and early fall.

Thanks to your support, we provided over 1,300 backpacks to students of all ages for the 2025-26 school year!

Echo collects school supplies year-round and provides to students as needed. A full supply list is available here.
