Why donate to ECHO?
Local Support: We help low-income families in Springfield/Burke with food, financial aid, clothing, household goods and seasonal programs.
- Direct Impact: Most donated goods go to servicing clients' needs. Surplus is shared with trusted charities.
- Smart Stewardship: Unsuitable items may be sold, with proceeds funding our mission.
- Accountable Aid: We pay clients’ vendors directly—never hand out cash.
- All-Volunteer: No paid staff. Just 2% of revenue goes to administrative costs.
- Tax Deductible: Receipts provided for all donations.
Your donation stays local and works hard.

Full Circle
On December 2024, a young man in his twenties visited ECHO with a heartfelt gift: 14 pairs of brand-new Converse basketball shoes. Though he wished to remain anonymous, he shared a powerful story—when he was a child, his mother turned to ECHO during a difficult time and received the support she needed. He vowed that one day, he would give back.
His generosity reminds us of the lasting impact your contributions have on our community. Together, we create ripples of kindness that come full circle.
