ECHO Inc.
Volunteers
Needed

Ecumenical Community Helping Others (ECHO) has been serving the needs of the Springfield and Burke communities since 1968.  We provide free food, clothing, household items and financial assistance to needy persons in our area.

As the population of the area grows and changes, ECHO must also grow and change.  We want to expand our hours of operation to better serve our client needs.  We urgently need adult volunteers who can work from about 12 noon until 3:00 PM (we are flexible) sorting donations for distribution to our clients and to other charitable organizations. Currently, we are forced to pass on large quantities of donations of clothing and household items because we lack the number of volunteers necessary to sort them

We are also in need of adult volunteers to work during our regular morning hours (9:30 AM until 12:30 PM) .  Particularly we need more men (and women) to receive and pre-sort incoming donations of all kinds.   You may work as often or as seldom as you like.  Many volunteers work once a week; some work once a month; others work when they can.

If you are able to help fill these needs in our community, or if you would just like more information about ECHO, please call 703 569-9160 during our regular morning hours and ask for Pat or email us at: jogauthier@cox.net
