How We Use Your Donations
Where Does Your Donation Go?
ECHO always tries first to use your donation to give directly to clients.
Donated clothing and household items that are not appropriate for clients might be sold on consignment, on eBay, or at the ECHO yard sales, and the money used to pay rent, utilities, and other necessities, etc. for clients. Some clothing is donated to worthy charities such as American Rescue, Salvation Army, Medical Missionaries and others. Career clothing will usually go to the Mott Center.
Almost all of the monetary donations to ECHO go to helping clients with bills. ECHO does not give money directly to clients.
