We provide temporary or emergency assistance, including food, clothing, household items, and financial support to about 1,000 families a year. Persons requesting assistance must first call ECHO at 703-569-9160 when we are open, and speak to a family counselor. We cannot accept walk-in clients. Our counselors will determine whether or not ECHO may be able to provide the needed assistance and, if so, schedule an appointment. As appropriate, our counselors may suggest other options the person in need of assistance might pursue.
